I’ve finally gotten around to posting a howto for joining Ship of Fools, and all of the statistics seem to be working alright. I’m now going to start work on a thorough techno-advocacy page, and allowing (authorized) users to post updates to overt. Then I may add what seems to be the only real draw to personal web sites: pictures! Who knows, maybe my IP logs will turn up more than localhost for once…
I have finished a “smart agent” for the SETI@home team page that updates the team statistics and downloads current team information into a table. To view it, visit the Ship of Fools page. I’ll be touching up the format and adding some more info pulled from SETI@home, and I may start storing information in a db so I can calculate trends over time.
The Ship of Fools SETI@Home team page now allows users to update and view team statistics. Next: a tutorial for setting up SETI, and adding statistics tracking. Maybe a statistics database? Who knows.
